Colin was the founder of EuroAsia Capital Limited which business focused on the large institutional investors including the Sovereign wealth funds based in the Middle East. The business of Euro Asia Capital operated within the regulatory framework and has now been integrated within Anglo-Suisse Capital Limited.
Colin will be remembered by former colleagues and clients of Jardine Fleming & Co in Hong Kong where Colin was Director and Head of Equity Capital Markets for Asia from 1993 to 1997, and for establishing the Equity Capital Markets department of Robert Fleming & Co in London in 1987 where, amongst many transactions, he was instrumental in completing the global placing of £2.5 billion of Wellcome Company shares on behalf of the Wellcome Trust in 1992, the then largest ever non-Government UK equity offering. Colin worked in London, Paris, New York and Hong Kong and was a former member of the Arbitration Panel of the International Securities Markets Association.
After a short period of illness Colin died of cancer in June 2009. Both professionally and personally, Colin will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.
