Simon Bailey is a senior investment banker based in Johannesburg. He has over twenty years experience in international markets. During his career, he has worked at Merrill Lynch, Oppenheimer & Co., Investec Bank, Raymond James & Co. and more recently has run an absolute return hedge fund, Matrix Investment Management LLC.
He has been involved with capital raising ventures, including the Brazilian based ethanol producer, Comanche Alternative Energy Corporation. Simon has a wide range of institutional and corporate clients. He also raises capital for specialised hedge funds and financial structures.
Simon is responsible for Anglo-Suisse Capital’s arrangement with the Imara group, a pan-Africa investment bank.
